The object of teaching a child is to enable him to get along without a teacher.— Elbert Hubbard
This project is one of my very few end client works - I usually work with developer teams, startups or companies.
As it was for a school of foreign languages, I followed the “school” idea and tried to establish the mood with the help of some realistic illustrations. Some texture here and there and a bit of @font-face magic using the free Liberation Sans font later, a solid design theme seemed to emerge.
End-client projects have their own set of advantages and disadvantages - finding the balance between your client needs’ and your vision of the website is quite a challenge. In that sense, I think this project was successful.
* This website probably won't match my initial comps. That's OK though :)
We're doing great stuff at Workable HR at the moment, so why don't you take a look?
I'm Zaharenia Atzitzikaki.
But you can call me Sugar.
I'm greek, hence the funny name. I'm also a hard-working web & mobile UI designer, always giving my best no matter the project.
Having over 5 years of experience in a corporate environment, I learned to be meticulously organized and fun to work with.
Working as a freelancer, helping developers and start-ups since January 2010, I'm no stranger to the fluidity of most real-life projects.
Why should you hire me? Because I'm a perfectionist that fusses over everything.
